This high-energy international house banger is a derivative from my original song “Dunkman.”
Welcome. Make yourself comfortable…
I am so glad you found your way here. Please, stay as long as you’d like. There is a kettle on somewhere (at least in my mind), and the door is always open. My name is Nicole Victoria Lauren, and I’m the heart behind NVL Music. If you are new to this corner of the internet, welcome to a space where we value the human voice as a storyteller and music as a vessel for sincere, open-hearted connection.
Today, I want to share something a bit different with you. Usually, my head is in the clouds, dreaming up immersive, storm-like pieces like Rain Deluge or reflective, quiet celebrations like A Toast to My Friends. But every now and then, the “first voice”, what I call Prima Voca, whispers something a bit more… playful. It tells me to stop over-analyzing and just feel the rhythm.
That’s how “Dunkman (I Can Feel It)” came to be. It’s a bit goofy, a lot of fun, and it’s meant to remind us that joy is just as authentic as sorrow.
The Visual Anchor
Below is a glimpse into the energy of this track. Think of this as a window into the “Funky Dancy” side of my soul.
The ‘Prima Voca’ Section: A Soulful Energy

At NVL Music, everything I create is guided by the principle of Prima Voca. It translates to “first voice,” and it represents that spark of intuition that exists before we start worrying about whether a track fits a genre or if it’s “technical” enough. For “Dunkman (I Can Feel It),” that first voice was loud, clear, and very high-energy.
I wanted to dive into the international house music space, not because it’s a trend, but because there is something undeniably spiritual about a four-on-the-floor beat. It mirrors the heartbeat. It grounds us. This track is actually part one of a planned five-part series derived from my original song, “Dunkman.” While the original will eventually emerge as part three of that arc, “I Can Feel It” is the high-energy introduction to the story.
Sometimes, we need music that doesn’t ask us to think, but simply invites us to be. I released this track to have some fun, but more importantly, to carry the truth that you can feel good things in your soul, even in the midst of life’s complexities. It’s about that moment when the music hits you, and suddenly, the weight of the world feels a little lighter. If you’ve ever felt a sudden burst of warmth in your chest when a bassline kicks in, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
The ‘Soundscape’ Section: The Anatomy of the Groove

While the heart of the song is simple joy, the construction of the soundscape was an intentional layering of textures. I’ve always believed that even “fun” music deserves a cinematic depth.
The foundation of “Dunkman (I Can Feel It)” is a classic house four-on-the-floor kick, but I’ve paired it with a rubbery, funk-infused bassline that gives the track its “rubbery” movement. It’s the kind of bass that you don’t just hear; you feel it in your knees.
One of the most unique elements is the hypnotic sitar riff that loops through the topline. The sitar, with its rich harmonics and resonant body, adds a touch of the unexpected to the house space. It bridges the gap between the organic and the electronic, which is a hallmark of the NVL Music philosophy.

As the song progresses, you’ll hear the strings begin to swell during the pre-chorus. Then, on the drop, the violins transition into rhythmic stabs, sharp, percussive, and driving. Toward the end of the track, there is a “lift” where the arrangement opens up, and those same violins begin to soar, carrying the catchy, percussive vocals into a space of pure celebration. We even included stacked “gang shouts” on the hook to bring that sense of community and shared energy into the recording.
Whether you’re listening for the technical interplay of the synths or just moving to the beat, I hope you can feel the sincerity we poured into every layer.
The Studio Environment

Many of the sounds you hear in “Dunkman” and my other works, like Flooded Dream, are born in spaces that invite imagination.

About the Production
This high-energy international house banger with male sounding vocals; four-on-the-floor kick, bright layered synths, rubbery funk bass, and a hypnotic sitar riff looping through the topline. Strings swell into the pre-chorus, then violins stab rhythmically on the drop, Vocals stay catchy and percussive, with stacked gang shouts on the hook and a late-song lift where the violins soar. The original will probably be a part 3 of 5 parts or versions. This is the first release.
